Esther

What it's about: A short study on the remarkable story of Esther, within which we see the sovreign hand of God at work to deliver his people. The book of Esther speaks to us today of how God calls us despite our circumstances to be used for his divine purpose.

The format: The study is arranged in eight sections that will take you through the book of Esther. Each section contains written notes and some questions. The notes will help you to focus on the central themes of the story, and the questions will help you determine what you have learned, and encourage you to apply that in practical living.

A series of talks by the author on the book of Esther is available on our website at no charge. You may find it helpful to listen to the recordings for background information, but they are optional and not required for the study.

How to use it: You can use the study in several different ways:

1. * By itself with your Bible.
2. * Along with the recorded teaching.
3. * By studying in a group.

Whichever method you adopt, the key is to listen for what the Holy Spirit has to tell you - about your beliefs, attitudes and life-style. Ask yourself what lessons you should be learning from your readings, so that you can apply them to your own understanding and life as a Christian.
